I don't need another Exa by berangberang, on Flickr

The silver anodized Steinheil lenses are the best looking lenses in my opinion.

Schneider Curtagon 2.8/35 and Exa by berangberang, on Flickr

The first series of black lenses from Schneider with the DOF window are also very cool.

It's pretty hard for me to define "sexy" when it comes to lenses.
I do normally not get aroused by handling a lens. LOL

The closest I get to that is with vintage Nikkors and Leica M glass, or the new Zeiss lenses.
So, I would say it's the Nikkor-S.C 1.2/55 and the Nikkor-H 1.8/85.

(Don't have any pics at hand, sorry.)

Russian f2.5/41mm Lens UFAR-12 ("Уфар-12") for their Mission to Mars made by LOMO. Only three (3) surviving lenses known to exist,
two of them I found unused (most likely backup lenses).

Ufar objectives were used on the television cameras carried by the Mars-2, 3, 4, and 5 spacecraft (quote from NASA source).

Special developed high resolution lens for reflected UV reproduction covering 24x36mm film format. Made of fluorite and quartz lenses.
Transmission ca. 65% for 230...1000nm. Center resolution ca. 80lpm. Built in aperture and focusing helicoid. M42 mount.

It is indeed a very sexy lens... Just don't tell the lenses in my harem, they may become jealous... Laughing
Out of curiosity, I assume it's 16mm(possibly 8mm) projector lens correct? Would it cover an APS-C sensor?

Sure, that looks like that in reflected UV (shows much more details and contrast; the light areas indicate high UV reflection which insects can see, but we don't):

and this is the flower in visible light as we see it (different lens + angle):

I understand UV photography and flowers/insects reflecting other colours not visible to our naked eye.
I was more curious about the lens in particular, it's rarity and performance.
