This is the place, where Ansel Adams took so many great pictures. There is an Adam Ansel Bookshop there, where you can buy prints - if you have a never exhausted credit-card.
The most impressive landmarks are of course the towering El Capitán, a granite cliff going vertically up 1000m, and the famous Half Dome, without doubt the most photographed monument there.

Three of the Half Dome
Around 7 p.m., Apo-Telyt 180mm, @ f3.4 ISO 320

With the MIR-20N @ f16 ISO 320
It vignettes pretty badly in most of the pictures I took with a blue sky.

And here from another view-point at 12:30 p.m. with the Noct 58 @f2 ISO 200

The majestic El Capitán, MIR-20N @ f8 ISO 320

The photographs of the 2nd post are even more breathtaking. I love the tree shot.
