Nikkor 55/2.8, Leica R 60/2.8, OM 50/2, Zeiss 50/2 MP are all that come to mind ATM.


Well yes - Mamiya Sekor 60mm f2.8 as well.
But macro lenses faster than f2.8 ........ not so many

I keep using this lens and keep getting really nice results. I notice that there was a Contax/Yashica 60mm Makro-Planar lens. Both the Yashica 55mm f/2.8 and the C/Y 60mm f/2.8 are described as 6 elements in 4 groups. Does anyone have any idea how closely these two lenses are related?
