Yashica ML 50mm/2 ? Any good? What would you pay for one in good condition?
Have I understood correctly if I say you should stay away from Yashica DSB-lenses? _________________ Retrocamera.net |

Hi! I have one at home, which I have not tested it at all.
I may upload some samples next week though.
I think their prices are very low. Mine was about 1-2 euros. _________________ Minolta x500, x700 and Olympus E-510 and many manual lenses

Ok, I think I will let it go then. It's at 8€ now and I would also have to buy a new adapter which would cost me even more. _________________ Retrocamera.net |

Ok, the guy selling had a stockpile. He has put a new group of Yashica lenses out. Maybe I should get a wider one, I know he has 35mm also. _________________ Retrocamera.net |

Sounds interesting.
Right now I'm thinking of buying the ML A 35mm/2.8. Would 25€ be to much for that one (it's a "buy now"-price)? _________________ Retrocamera.net |

if the 35/2.8 is in the same range of quality as the 135/2.8 I would say that this is steal.
And I was very close to push the button on this one but the inner voice said that I better learn how to use my other 35:s than buying yet another one. _________________ Mr Scott please restrain your leaps of illogic. I have said nothing. I was merely speculating. |

You stole it Congrats.
Take any ML prime they are all at the very least good with some that are exceptional (3.5/21, 2.8/24, 2.8/28, 1.7/50, 4/55macro, 2.8/55macro).
The zooms are not as consistent. The only real stand out being the 4.5/70-210. My experience has been this lens is in the top level of it's field. For other Focals look for Tammie and Kiron zooms (Kiron 2.8/ 28-90 is dynamite). _________________ Moderator |
