The m42 is a Cosina made lens. The K-mount as well but bespoke for Ricoh. Optically probably different.

This is the one I have. I wonder if it's a rebadged Pentax-M?

That seems to be the same as the Rikenon P 50mm 1:2, but without automatic aperture control pin. The Pentax-m 1:2 is 1mm longer and focusses to .45m instead of .6 Only the xr Rikenon 28mm 1:3.5 was a rebadge from Pentax. The Pentax-m 28/3.5 https://filmphotograph.com/ricoh-xr-rikenon-vs-smc-pentax-m-35mm

This is the rear of the Pentax-m 50mm 1:2

Bokeh between the Pentax and Ricoh is very similar though fuzzy highlights no sharp edges. May share a similar formula

Take out the front and rear element to see if they are flat on the inside.

Rikenons have always been very uncommon here, so never seen many in the wold to compare to the Pentaxes. Apart from the 50 and 55mm 'normals' the other Rikenons are just so rarely seen.

Apart from 50/55 I have a 135mm 2.8 and 75-150mm zoom. Pentaxforums probably has the most comprehensive list of Rikenons (much more than Allphotolenses)

I have this 2/50, the rare 3.5/28 Aspherical and the Rikenon P Zoom 35-70mm F3.4-4.5 which is a tiny thing and I suspect made by someone like Sigma.
