I think it's one of the better f/1.2 fifties I've seen.

Out of curiosity, are all these shots wide open? Just asking since DOF looks pretty large for f1.2 lens.

How do you modify the Fujica FX bayonet so that you may mount the Fujinon on a Canon? I think there are no adapters between Fujica FX and Canon EF mount.

Mount modification service is cheap in China.

Very nice lens indeed. The rendering and colours are very good.
I find it similar to my 1.4/45 Yashinon Dx salvaged from a Yashica Linx 14.

Just bought a x-Fujinon ebc 100mm f2.8, and hope I get similar results.

Thank you for your quick reply. Could you give me an email address or website? Will they understand English? Will they accept payment by PayPal?
Thank you.

Be careful to send out lens to China, I heard several stories where no money and no lens anymore. This is an opportunity for locals ,not for foreigners. We have a member Trifox who has service to convert lenses, contact to him first in pm.

The conversion shouldn't be so difficult , as the register is 43.5 the same as Minolta MD/MC .(If you shoot Canon) I decided to move to Sony NEX E mount , where I won't be forced to modify anithyng to the lenses ( but on the adapters , I much prefere this way)

I also have one of these sitting doing nothing Confused

Seems like adapting to EOS would be well worthwhile - anyone got more detailed instructions on this procedure as I'm not an engineer and have limited metal-working skills... Embarassed

Cheers

The X-Fujinon 100/2.8 is extremely rare, you hardly ever see one for sale. It is your lens and of course you are free to do what you want with it but there are a lot of competent 100mm lenses out there. You would get a very good price for your unconverted lens from a collector, allowing you to buy something else that fits your EOS.

BTW, fabulous shot bigeyes!
