I found this in a batch -

I don't know much about Will Wetzlar, I think it was a specialist lens maker that happened to be located in the same town as Leitz, but maybe someone here knows. Their output seems to have been mostly enlarger lenses, with some apparently well-regarded "Doryt" macro lenses.

This one is apparently a late product, plastic bodied but with a brass core. Its threaded M39, which is common for enlarger lenses and I understand also for macro lenses intended for bellows. It came with a couple of rather nice and unusual items - a M39-Exakta adapter, and a lensboard with an Exakta mount, perhaps for mounting on an enlarger. The Exakta adapter makes sense, as Exakta was the standard macro system for decades and there were plenty of Exakta bellows. The lensboard ? Well, I suppose this thing would also work as an enlarger lens. It may actually be a re-labelled enlarger lens, who knows.

I had no problem mounting this on my Kopil Exakta bellows, which I have long since adapted to Pentax.

I am useless at macro stuff, as I have no talent or patience for it, but I gave it a go. I can't really say whether this thing beats my enlarger lenses for this purpose, but it seems to work well enough.

"plastic fantastic", but not bad optics. I have a set of them, pretty cheap.

I can't remember Will camera lenses or high grade enlarging lenses being sold in the UK ( - see Olivier's preceding post about his Vastar camera lens). Inexpensive enlarging lenses and lots of projector lenses branded as "Willon" I do recall, so it's interesting to learn after all these years that they had a wider range of optics.
