Another reason:

Kodak BW400CN. Some people do not like it, but I just love it.
Excellent results with my rangefinder cams and SLRs and still ever so convinient. You can get it developed in any lab...
Did you use ilford 400 XP2 Super? Compare with Kodak? I'm in the election processing between both. Any help?

Regards, Rino.

Why shoot film?
Because it's there - and I like it.
It's partly a harkening back to the earlier days and now I'm picking up cameras left right and centre I'd like to put some film through them to use them as they should be and not just adorning a shelf.
Partly it's the aesthetics of it - I do feel that film copes a lot better than most digicams I'm likely to get my hands on; the only drawback is processing cost - but I spread it out a bit.
I can't be bothered doing my own processing nowadays, but I used to do a lot of B&W film and prints at home. Never did colour, as that was too expensive and I don't see the point of gearing up for colour processing now - I'd rather pay a lab to do it and help to keep them in business. After all, the lab cost is the same price as it would cost me to do them at home anyway.

If we can only come up with a film camera that allowed us to unload it, midroll, shoot a different roll and then reload the original where we left off!

I used to do that a lot (rewind until I could feel the leader come off the takeup spool) and indelible ink mark the leader of how many frames shot.
Same functionality as an interchangeable back in 35mm, just a bit slower Smile
