This is really idiot purchase. For about the same money I bought the Contax 35-70.

Wow! I paid $29 for the SP 35-80 in October! This seems like more than I would want to put up for that lens.

I also think that the 60-300 is a little high...I've been seeing them going for $60-$80 last year.

Thats really very crisp and clear, especially given that a 2x teleconverter was used.

Great shot.

I guess these Tamron lenses have been undervalued for a long time, but some of these prices are a little extreme...

Ah, two bidders determined to not let the other have it, as usual. Even mint, it's not worth that, imo. I paid about a tenner for one that was well-used but still working perfectly fine.

Not bad for a mint example, if true. I paid 30ukp for mine and it was mint outside - different story inside, though.
What I found slightly galling was that several examples came up shortly after mine and all went cheaper.

Ebay does tend to be a crap shoot. One of the drivers to the prices is comment by local gurus - for example on the nikon scene when Bjorn Rorslett says he finds a lens "good" or "performs really well on the new D**" you will find that the prices zoom for a while. I am sure there are similar opinion makers on the other cameras. Smile Smile

Not alone on here, of course. Smile
I must buy up Tamrons before they go through the roof.
