I use sprays for cleaning spectacle lenses. Alcohol is a solvent and may creep into a lens and damage the internals. Although the chances are it wont, just one instance will be too many.
Spectacle cleaner is basically water with a surfactant added (detergent) this is potentially less harmful than (edit:) Alcohol. Use it with a microfibre camera lens cloth. _________________ Hero in the 'messin-with-cameras-for-the-hell-of-it department'. Official.

That's what I use. I've got a big bottle of commercial stuff - UVEX - that we had at work for cleaning safety glasses and when I checked it's the same stuff they sold in opticians for glasses. It's an isopropyl / water solution which works perfectly well. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....
I have loads of stuff that I have to get rid of, if you see me commenting about something I have got and you want one, ask me.

Of course a small 50ml refillable spray bottle with boiled water and a drop of dish washing liquid does the job perfectly.
The bottles are available at a pharmacy a drop means literally a drop. I put a smear on my finger, hold it over the bottle neck and shake. That is enough.
The washing liquid contains surfactants, these break down the surface tension of the water helping it to attach its self to dirt and helps you to cover the lens easily with the solution. _________________ Hero in the 'messin-with-cameras-for-the-hell-of-it department'. Official. |

I have a small collection of MF len. I heard that alcohol is cheap liquid for cleaning dirty outer lens glass. Is it safe ? If it's not true . So which liquid is safe and useful for lens glasses cleaning ?

Alcohol works fine, however, do not spray on lens -- use only a drop or two on microfiber cloth or earbud/q-tip.
Eclipse Lens Cleaning Fluid sold expensive in tiny bottles is actually only Reagent Grade Methanol, which can be purchased inexpensive by the liter from chemical supply store. _________________ ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮ like attracts like! ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮
