|
|
I will only take a B&W pics, no more colours.
No more B&W with wide range tonal
I like the contrast and sharp B&W pics, with a limited range tonal, few and darks grays.
Which film is the appropriate?
Thanks. _________________ M42: tak 3,5/28

I am no expert but I think the matter is more how you develop and how you print, then what film. _________________ _

Yes, sure.
I used xp2 super, and then I had to do all the things in the "pre" not in the "post". I want to change the film (xp2 sup don't like me so much for my use).

I think you need plain old Tri-X. Slightly under exposed and overdeveloped. _________________ E1, SD14 and some other stuff! |

Thanks. It's seem to be under expos by one diaph and overdepeloped by 20-25%, may be more? _________________ M42: tak 3,5/28

If you want a very high contrast negative to work with try IR film. Rollei IR is my favorite. Exposed and developed normally it can have reasonable DR although still quite high contrast. If you underexpose slightly especially while using a dark red filter (no need to use IR filter if you do not want the effect). And then overdevelop by 15-25%, negative density will be very polarized. High density in highlights and extremely thin in shadows. Jules (lulalake) may have a suggestion as well with these films. _________________ Canon: 5D,40D Contax: Aria,RTS,RTS II, RX Leica: CL Voigtlander: Bessa L
