I was cleaning up the diaphragm blades on a Curtagon when I accidentally lifted the aperture ring and the (ball bearing?) detent shot out and into the unknown. I didn't even see it, I only heard it. The spring is still in the lens. Mad

Any help is appreciated.

Fishing around in the unknown with a magnet might attract the ball bearing... A flashlight shined at steep angle might show it...

You can get metric sized "bearing balls" in bags of 50 to 100 very cheaply on eBay. Common sizes are 1mm, 1.5mm, and 2mm. I've got several sizes by now due to lost "detent balls" in lenses.

I sacrificed a Canon FD with the old breechlock, there's loads of ball in those mounts. ( I did use a dead lens Wink )
