Hi,
Today I received a Vivitar Series 1 28-105mm f2.8-3.8 lens in Pentax K mount. As I was planning to use this lens with my Sigma camera, I just opened the back to unscrew the aperture lever (the one that is sticking out on the front), just to find out that there are no screw to remove it (the lever and the moving ring is one piece of metal) - I ended up clipping the aperture lever. Any ways, when I removed the aperture ring, a small metal ball jumped out. I tried to find the place where it fits in, but couldn't really find something suitable. There is a small engraved hole on the outside of the barrel where the aperture ring sits on, but it seems way to small. Can somebody point me to the right direction?
Thanks,
Diddy

Look on the inside surface of the ring. There should be a hole and there should also be a spring in that hole.

Thanks a lot for your help. I'll try to take the lens apart again and have a look if I find it.
