I have collected many vintage Chinese enlarging lenses made since 1960's recently for very good prices vs their quality. However, if I saw a good non-Chinese one, I also picked it up for comparison. The two silver ones were made in 1960's in Shanghai. The build quality was quite high.

An extremely rare Chinese wide angle 80/4 enlarging lens made in 1990's in Shanghai. I was not aware of it before I saw it just a few days ago. Laugh 1 Like 1 small It cost about 300 yuan RMB around year 2000 that was expensive for a Chinese enalrging lens. The instruction paper says it is good for 6x9 negatives while normally you would need a 105mm one for the work. It has a resolution of 30lp/mm and a very small distorton of 0.3% only. It is NIB. I got a Minolta MD 75-150mm f/4 in the mail today. I've been looking for a copy in good condition for a while now, I wanted a bit more flexibility in the tele range without givong up too much sharpness or compactness compared to my primes.

It's the one in the middle:

I've posted a couple of test shots (with 100% crops) over here, so far it looks very impressive...

Caught these two Canon FD zoom lenses yesterday for very good prices. The previous FD 28-85/4 was defective and damaged. This example is in much better condition for a slightly hgher price. The FDn 35-105mm F3.5-4.5 is an interesting lens with an aspherical element for a low priced lens.
The FD 28-85/4's macro feature is useful for me. I tried it at 85mm at f8, and the 100% crop of the lens s/n seems quite sharp.

A Chinese net friend's(谢谢印第安老麻雀!)sample image taken with a Fujinon ex 50/2.8. This is the kind of image quality I am looking for from a lens.

A local shop owner has a connection in Japan so that his shop is always full of lenses just came in from Japan with very reasonable prices. I bought quite a few from this shop recently. Here are a group of Olympus Zuiko zoom lenses.
