Elicar 300/5,6. My latest addition to my now 15 mirror lenses. Reviews are generally rather positive and I'm also happy with this one. It's in excellent condition. The pics are a mix of good enough sharpness and contrast (for a mirror lens. / better than Makinon) and now and then an interesting glow which could be used well.
Tamron 350/5,6. Again. I mentioned that one a few weeks ago already. It went back to the seller for a bad alignement and he tried his best. It's better now but not ok. I'll entrust it to my mechanic for one more try, and we'll see. I understand they are not easy to fix and any advice will be very helpful. Please.

Very capable portrait lens in the right hands and lighting situations.
It is fairly well corrected for it's age, and a good all around use normal provided it's stopped down a shade.
I had one and shouldn't have sold it, but I'd rather see it in someone else's hands that will use it.
Your copy looks to be in nice condition.

My favorite is the SMC Takumar 35/3.5, also because the focal width on APS-C works well for me (the otherwise excellent 55/1.8 is slightly too long for me).

I would like to get that painterly look from c/y 28mm Zeiss or FDn 28mm both 2.8 . Would it be possible to get those results by lens settings(FF user) or edition?
I know there are some lenses that might do better than other for their own character etc, but how these 2 lenses would qualify to get that look? |
