Okay....DON'T HESITATE, and don't be afraid to SAY IT RIGHT NOW! What is your current dream lens right at this very minute? What is in your head right at this moment of reading, for a lens you want?

For me, it is the Ultron, such as Klaus has...it's what I've been thinking about the past ten minutes.

And just before that, it was Orio's Zeiss 50/3.5....BUT since this is what we have on our minds RIGHT NOW...the Ultron is the one.

What's yours? Twisted Evil

More realistically... CZJ Flektogon 20/2.8

I already have the best Zeiss so it is not GAS Dream but just GAS
Right now I wait a zuiko 28 2 & a 24 2.8 to see what they worth
I am not happy with the CA of my zuiko 135 3.5 and the soft border of my zuiko 28 3.5.
But I like their mini size and I wanted to give one more try to oly to see if they worth more GAS

Oh boy, exactly my thoughts!! Shocked

Perhaps another Leica lens would be nice (1.4/35, 1.4/50 or 2/90, maybe the Zeiss Distagon T* 1.4/35 or Planar T* 1.4/85 instead)...

Too bad, one sold recently on eBay for GBP 132.00 (Click here to see on Ebay).

As for my current GAS dream, it's the SMC Pentax 28/2, the Pentax version of the "Hollywood" Distagon. Zeiss and Pentax had a brief cooperation in the 1970s that led to the "K" bayonet mount (a Zeiss design), as well as the 15/3.5 and 28/2 lenses. Here are some interesting pages about this rare lens:

I am looking for quality 400mm and larger lenses, inexpensive of course.

My ultimate dream would be to have a complete set of Zeiss lenses.

Actually, my GAS dream is a fast 35mm: Minolta MD Rokkor 35/1.8. I've seen one in real some days ago and tested it 5 minutes hand held mounted on EOS 5D, now I can't sleep without dreamin' about it Embarassed

Then perhaps a Zeiss or Leica 1.4/35 would be even better for you (and without that hassle of rebuilding the Rokkor to make it fit to the 5D.)

You are swapping a 100 € GAS by a 500 € one Very Happy

Actually, I'm feeling a lot better lately, thanks Larry. The symptoms aren't nearly as strong as they were a while ago and I'm driven more by need than by lust these days. At the moment all I need is a decent K-mount 35mm lens, but I can make do with zooms until one comes along.

My current dream list . . .

a good long lens for my M42 kit

or maybe a Mirror lens.

These might not seem that extreme, but then that's me.

my dream is a AF, stabilized new lens. Embarassed I need a 500mm or 600mm Canon for my wildlife work. Way beyond my budget though as they cost a lot of money Shocked !

But I think I've really got everything else pretty much covered now.

Not only covered but also with great lenses, if I may say so.
