I'm curious but I don't even know what kind of film it uses... Heck, it may have film in it!

Nikon CoolPix L4. Point and click, very small and reasonably sharp shots Smile

It's a piece of crap in low light.

But it's not really a film camera Razz. Film is too much of a hassle for a pocket cam Smile

I still use my Oly XA which i bought in 1985. That is really pocket size. It has been my only cam for years.

I can see I'm wasting my time trying to get everyone to stick to the 900 maximum width. If nobody else cares about it I might as well give up and leave.

@ Peter:

Why would you want to leave because of the extra 124 pixels that I for one, forgot about?

I have a 17" monitor and the 1024px wide image doesn't result in widescreen scrolling for me so can I be excused for overlooking it?

Anyway, it's been fixed now.

I posted a large photo earlier as well. It came straight from a P&S camera and never got processed. Sizing to 900 wide has become standard for me. I try to be conscious of others when I post. I usually save a full size copy of my photos and a 900 wide version just for this site. I fixed my earlier photo.

Was it ever posted in a sticky about 900 wide max photos? I didn't hear about until I had been posting for a while and never remembered seeing it.

Thanks Bob.

As I've said so many times before, when someone posts a picture larger than 900 wide, the lines of text extend off the right edge of my screen. In order to read the text I have to scroll across and then I can't see the whole of the picture. And just one large picture ruins every message in the thread. I really don't understand why this doesn't seem to affect anyone else. It is getting REALLY tiresome for all of us, and truly embarrassing for me, that I have to keep commenting about it.

I have been told many times that nothing can be done to limit the size of pictures or to force the text to wrap within the screen width, but I really don't believe this. On the other forum the width of the panel is fixed, the right hand edge is always visible on my screen and the text always wraps within the screen width. When someone posts a picture which is too large it simply gets resized to fit. It is SO much easier and quicker to read.

Michael, I agree it would be nice if there was some kind of notice or sticky to remind everyone about the maximum image width - I could refer to it every time a large picture is posted. Sadly I'm not able to create it myself.

Peter, it affects me too with my laptop. Wink
And it's correct to remind everybody when a bigger pic is posted, IMHO.

Since folks are showing pics, here are my two favorite pocket cameras... the light meter's almost bigger than the Retina!
