Excellent for you! My first step into digital SLR was with the Pentax K20d, but the K10d was a better camera IMO. I shot the Sigma 10-20 on it--it was very nice indeed. Bought the Siggy new--somewhere near 400 us dollars! But the Sigma 17-70 is very nice too. You really did well--congratulations. jt

Which version?

I only know the early postwar Sonnar 4/300mm, with (according to todays standards) a rather mediocre performance.
But I really appreciate it as a collectors item Wink

I'm not home now to check exactly, but I'm pretty sure it's the same one as this, only with M42 mount.

Not an early postwar version.

Six broken compact cameras for 4.95, they include two Nikon L35AF and two Canon MC, I intend to harvest the lenses and rebarrel them for use on my MILCs.

The L35AF has the 2.8/35 5e/4g Sonnar type lens that has a stellar reputation. The MC also has a 2.8/35 lens with 4e/4g and a similarly strong reputation.

It’s a m42 Jena ‘S’ from the early sixties.

Within the last year, I bought an early Takumar 100mm f/2.8 and Auto Takumar 35mm f/2.3 for $350. Sold the 100mm for $1,250 and kept the 35mm. Also paid $50 for an Olympus OM-2n, 50mm f/1.8, and leather case, all in their original boxes and unopened. Sold it for $600.

Have to fund my lens buying addiction somehow, haha.

Two X-700's with 50/1.4 on each and Sigmatel 135/1.8. $160

D3200 + 35/1.8 for $380 - that's back when the body alone went for $300. Clueless pawn shop that sold it to me did not realize it was a 35/1.8 FX.

I have actually two of them (one "silver nose", the other one "black nose"), and both are ... among the worst zooms i know.
I wonder about your test results ...

For 3 Euro it is a great buy.I got two blacknose copies of this lens and found them one of the better 70-150/4 lenses of the time.Very decent, even wide open at any focal length.Comparable to Nikon E 70-150/4 and better than Tokina and Vivitar 70-150 (i.e. sharper overall, better contrast and colour rendition) in the real life photography.

Sony A72+Olympus OM 70-150/4,all wide open

Week ago on flea market Sears 200mm f3,5 for $2. Surprisingly good lens, almost mint in case.

Strange. I have two copies - one silvernose and one blacknose -, and both behave identically. And both are the worst zoom in their range (compared e. g. to the Canon FD, Konica AR, Minolta MD, Nikon E and Pentax SMC counterparts).

This got to be my best bargain on ebay. An Industar 90U 75mm for free. The seller sent me this lens in mistake, it was not the one that was listed. I got refunded and the seller did not want to pay for return shipping. He said I could keep it as a trophy haha!

Vega-12B (Б) 90 mm f2,8 for $15. The one and only thing to do, I unscrewed and turned to other side last back lense.
