Congrats for sure. Always wondered what an adjustable curvature of field
is useful for on a 24mm wide angle... for flower shots I coudl see this to
blur out the off-center parts, but otherwise...??

Congrats Klaus, that is an achievement! Like 1 small

My latest additions are one more Pancolar 2/50 and a 2/58 Takumar...not cheap, but just within my budget,it has mild fungus...not sure how mild until it gets here Smile.

The VFC function may be useful to 'optimize' the performance on corners when used in a digital camera. Wink

It was for the first time when I actually found one of these Auto-Takumar 55/2.2. It came together with a S1 Asahi Pentax camera. Both are in working condition.
I payed 30€ for them, but I think the lens will need in the near future a "refreshment".

Sadly i won't be able to use it right now - i have no digital Mamiya MF back. Using it for color film/slides doesn't really make sense, since my Sony A900 plus MinAF 1.4/85mm has the same detail resoultion as 4x5 inch color slides plus Apo-Symmars ...

Do you have the early variant with 77mm filter or the later ULD with 58mm filters?

Mine is ULD - I was not aware that there was a different version.
I had the Mamiya Sekor C 210 f4 but sold it when I found the zoom.
The zoom is superior in my experience - one of the few times a zoom has exceeded a prime from the same manufacturer that I have found.
The ULD glass does make a difference..
And the 4/210 was a very good lens

Mamiya was very active improving their lenses. There are not only two versions of the Sekor C 4.5/105-210mm, but also of the Sekor C 2.8/45mm. There are probably other Sekor C lenses which were improved without makin a lot of fuss about it ...

There's little information about the first version of the 4.5/105-210mm. It is huge (77mm Filter), heavy (1.2 kg) and longer than our todays 2.8/70-200mm lenses!

The only real information i found in the net was from a user saying the old and the new (ULD) zoom were basically "on par". Obvious advatage of the ULD is that it is much smaller!

The Sekor C 4/210mm is in fact a very good lens - i used to use it with Kodak Technical Pan, developped to "normal" contrast with Tetenal "Neofin Doku" developer. The resolution of 40x50cm prints was outstanding.

Kind of an old purchase - large pile of stuff, sold back most of it and was left with Canons FD 80-200/4 L, 50/1.2 and, 28/2.0 for $130.

nice catch !

Was not really a catch - it sat there free to be taken by anyone for a while, but it had no description and singularly bad photos, I could barely make out the 50/1.2 based on proportions, and the 80-200 L was a total surprise.
