I confess I don't get the Chinese Restaurant part... but the photos are great. I really like that you used a deep DOF. General trend is to use a lot the short DOF effect for an instant captivation but to use a deep DOF is more challenging and difficult I think, because you have to give more care to the composition, and you did that very well.

Haunting and mysterious. Forget the "Chinese restaurant" - the pictures stand on their own

Thank you all, folks !

Concernig shutterspeed questions:
I found out that inbetween 0,6sec and 2.5 sec. is going on the most magic. Everything slower than 2.5sec. is getting more blured and details in the water-streams get less, no magic anymore ...

For beginners: to achieve this slow shutter speeds in daylight circumstances a low ISO 100(50 if you camera supports) is needed, a small aperture (e.g. f16-32) and a ND grey filter.
Instead of the ND filter one can use a simple circ. polarizer. Turn it, till the it's in the "darkest" position. Advantage of the polarizer is, that you can get rid of reflections in the wet parts of the stones etc ...

I gues nowbody got the China Restaurant thing...
Laughing

You know this lamps, they are quite popular in China Restaurant decor here in Austria ... Wink
