I was goin to buy this 90/3,5 few months ago in EF mount, but that time elmarit was more attarctive. Now I have NEX, I spotted it in LTM. so I grabbed it.
Detail in wide open sharp enough for me.

Contrast is very please to me, between bright and shadow is controlled well

crop 100%, you can see me at his eye Very Happy

Thanks for viewing..

Very nice IAZA! I look forward to more samples as well. Very impressive how the shadow/highlight was handled.

Well I hope same thing Attila, but I don't have much time. Here's other shot taken today in short time on my way home.
I took quick test yesterday evening compared it with Leitz elmar 90/4
but result too crap due bad light. Too bad my elmar is sold now
edit only crop resize and border

I hope I have more time to play with it this weekend.
ohh forgot to mention, all shot wideopen

Thanks Kram
On first post I used portrait setting on NEX, while today shot used vivid mode
vivid mode is good in daylight, but too dark if the light is minimum

BTW I rather dissapoint of name APO here, I hope I won't get CA with it, but I still found PF, Elmar 90/4 is better in this case

Looks like a sharp lens , I can see a lot of small details in the horse picture.

Sharp enough I guess,
I like sharp lens in wideopen, that I almost shot with it always full open. Stefan here's the full size crop, You can see purple fring in metal, center of forehead

Looks exactly as my 2.8/90 G Sonnar when it is wide open.
You need to close it one click and it will disappear.

If we assume it is a true apo lens and should not have purple fringing maybe this is because of the sensor?

I read somewhere few days ago, this isn't really APO lens. he mean there still little CA left.
Hmm I only have NEX now, no other cam to match this LTM lens

The man on the cart has a unusual hair style. At first I thought he has pointed ears. Or is it a camera trick?

Actually he's wearng traditional hat called "Blangkon" which only exist in my province and sorround. All Cart driver wear that. It belong to local culture in past. It becomes popular souvenir.
einrahmer, well, PF isn't really suck, ...its OK
but why they write APO?

have only a not so serious definition:

APO was in the 60´s and 70´s the A ausser P parlamentarische O opposition
means extra-parliamentary opposition, maybe Voigtländer tries to do that with the Leica owners Very Happy

Very funny Thomas... I got one too, maybe APO means APOlogy Very Happy

anyway I took shots yesterday, here's what I like, this lens handle light very nice. like Leica did
very strong back light? no problem I still got detail

my nephew's ear got sun light

original B/W from NEX, I think it's stepped down

BTW; if you want to see boring comparison of this lens with Leitz ELmar 90/4

looked at your comparison and don´t think that the result of a serious shot is depending which of the 2 lenses you take - thanks for sharing

the bw picture is interesting
