Nothing fancy, just a quick test of my newly acquired Leitz Focotar 40/2.8

Leitz Focotar 40/2.8 test by scepticswe, on Flickr

Compared to my EL-Nikkor 50/2.8N, I'd say the Leitz is at least as sharp and also has better contrast. Highly recommended lens.

No one picked up on this?!
An a7T preproduction Sony digital TL mirrorless medium format camera.
PLEASE tell us more, though, I'm guessing you cannot.
This sounds very intriguing!

Oh, is this just your wishful thinking of a medium format Sony alpha ?

Buggz, I think it is a premonition about a medium format Alpha based on A7 + double lens Meyer Optik Trioplan 3.5/75 Reflekta II TLR. Very Happy
It's a joke.

Look here what Lo posted on flickr :

Did you shoot that with the VNEX-system?

No. With vintage focusing macro heliicoid. (Sorry, now I read, this is thread for VNEX using showroom).

Picked up a short M42 helicoid adapter (too short for regular M42 lenses), to allow infinity focus with my Leitz Focotar 40/2.8. Apart from some pretty pronounced vignetting wide open, it's a very fine piece of glass:

Agfa Agolon 90/2.5 projector lens - no crop; very modest colour correction.

Very soft and nice faded colours.
I like it ! Very Happy

The Color-Agolon 90 draws like the Leica Colorplans, but it's a bit smoother. Because it's also a little softer, the focus transition is dreamy. Colour is subdued but not muddy. The look is 'V-LOG'!

A very rare enlarging lens, made by Rodenstock in 2002 and I guess only made in a very small number.
I never saw it before but now I got two of it.
Here´s a sample I shot with a Sony ILCE 7
I used 44mm @f/8

Thank you Arri.
Sorry for late answer.
That's a very detailed lens. Like 1 small

Great portrait!

I‘ve seen that you‘ve taken lots of shots with your Componon-S 50 mm f/2.8… Do you have the later 6-element (green band or aperture indicator) version or the earlier 5-element one?

I‘ve recently tested one of those and was really surprised by its quality because it‘s usually considered to be clearly inferior to the 6-element version, however I couldn‘t find enough difference between them to say which one is better… it‘s kind of a toss-up depending on the magnification.

What‘s your experience given you‘ve used it a lot?
