I have a Vivitar 28mm and one of the rubber bands used for focussing is cut. Can anyone assist on how I can get a replacement for this?
I've attached a photo of the band below. Thanks for any assistance!!!

Beautiful lens and, gosh, that's a difficult circumstance you are facing. The band appears not just to have been cut; it looks like a segment actually might be missing!
If I'm wrong and you still have the missing segment, some degree of restoration can be accomplished through careful use of contact cement.
If, OTOH, the segment actually is missing, is gone completely, and cannot be found:
That gap looks too wide for you to be able to stretch the remaining rubber. There are two fixes that come to mind for me:
1. Obtain a parts lens (could be any lens) with similar rubber grip surface, harvest the rubber, cut it to size as best you can, and attach the new gap filler with contact cement.
2. Obtain the exact same lens being sold for parts or repair. Harvest the whole rubber from the parts lens and use it to replace the entirety of the rubber that remains on your good lens.
Without a donor lens of some kind, a fix will be difficult. I've not seen offered for sale that kind of rubber, with the star (dimpled) pattern. But it might be. If nothing above works for you, it's time to search hard on the internet for generic material that might be able to be cemented into place to bridge that gap.

The segment is totally missing, I bought the lens like this. I wish there was some way of buying rubber bands to replace...doesn't have to be the nice dimpled type... _________________ Canon 80D EF 50 II Canon 100-400L
