Congrats for the phots and the camera.
Its a rebranded Praktica BCA ( http://www.praktica-b.org/index.php?view=article&catid=34%3Aautomatik&id=52%3Aac1&option=com_content&Itemid=54 ) with a nice praktica-bayonet Pancolar (the cheapest Pancolar one can buy).
EDIT... no, no no, corrction: its not a Pancolar. This one is in fact a Pentacon 50mm f:1.8 but branded as CZJ. The letter "P" says it all. So, its a Pentacon
The Pancolar looks like this: http://www.praktica-b.org/index.php?view=article&catid=39%3Aczj&id=85%3Aczjp1850&option=com_content&Itemid=55

These are the Pentacons : http://www.praktica-b.org/index.php?view=article&catid=40%3Apentacon&id=93%3Aczpddr1850&option=com_content&Itemid=55 & http://www.praktica-b.org/index.php?view=article&catid=40%3Apentacon&id=89%3Ap1850p&option=com_content&Itemid=55 & http://www.praktica-b.org/index.php?view=article&catid=40%3Apentacon&id=96%3Ap1850&option=com_content&Itemid=55 _________________ Canonet QL17 III

Thank you Montecarlo for those information.
I really wanted to get 50/1.8 with "P" mark,
I now have 9 Prakticar 50/1.8 lenses. _________________ Our Home Page has 18,200 photos in 575 directories today.

I think these Jenaflex cameras were made mostly for the UK market. As for the lens I am sure I read somewhere about one somebody buying one and it came with 2 bezels, one reading Carl Zeiss and the other Pentacon, would tend to prove Montecarlo right. Anywway its a lovely camera, got good reviews way back. I always wanted one at the time (late 80's) and I beleive they also made an Auto/Manual version AM-1? Doh! just seen that on first post. |
