Anyone taken apart a Macro-Takumar 50mm f/4? How the heck do you get the glasses out? Do I really have to dismantle the whole thing? Sad

You probably need to start by unscrewing the label ring round the front lens (includes the black cone round the glass) using a friction "screwdriver" - a piece of rubber. Wearing houshold gloves helps a lot too.

Yeah I removed that. And then there is a ring on the top glas. The ring has 2 holes. Inside of it, there is a inner ring, a normal lock ring for elements. But removing the inner ring will not let me get to the glass in the back.

Seem I have to take the whole thing apart to get to the back glass. There is a cap I need to remove from the back element, but that can't be removed unless I take the lens apart completly. :%
