I am fascinated by the curves of those trees in the first image. Almost like Liberty Style art. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Now and then, Carsten, I can tell that English is not your native language, but I don't pick up any particular accent. Sometimes you mix up prepositions (e.g you have a lens "at" your camera, not "on" it). Michael does the same sometimes too, so perhaps this is a German thing. Attila and Orio often use American spelling but not American phrases, and fairly often their English grammar is slightly wrong, so for me they still write with Hungarian and Italian accents. Lahnet spells "colors" instead of "colours" and says "sure is" - straight from Dodge City
Let me now say I how much I admire all of you for being able to speak and write so well in a language you have had to learn from books. I am ashamed that I can't. |

But I repeat a light.
A digi sensor is far more sensitive for over exposure as for underexposure. Opposite to analog were its the other way arround.
Try to use a -1 correction or so, it might improve a lot.

I am somewhat relieved to hear your "verdict", since I've got an MA in English literature and took some classes in linguistics.
Would be a shame for me, if you could easily sound out a German accent in my texts.
Actually, I think that in this forum especially Michael and Orio - among others - have a very good command of the English language. _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!

I think you all do, and the very slight errors are attractive anyway - they sort of pin you to your roots. If we all spoke perfect English how boring it would be!
(The "if" word (conditional) is very difficult for Germans, is it not?)
I often use MSN to chat with a friend in NL when we are are working on music together. He likes me to correct him if he makes a grammattical error. I can speak only one word of Dutch, and I don't like to correct him too often because it seems I am being very critical. But if it would help you, I would be happy to correct your prepositions from time to time! |

This works quite well.

3) If I had won the lottery, I would have bought many lenses.
1) Condition is possible and likely.
2) Condition is nearly impossible or very unlikely.
3) Condition is not (no longer) possible, since it happened in the past.

It's good that you find errors attracting, you'll keep finding the experience of my messages freshly exciting every day!
My ex wife (Norwegian) had a superb English language command. She got a degree in Oxford with which she was allowed to teach English to Englishmen. A lot of her English friends used to tell her that she was speaking a better English than the Englishmen, because her accent was neutral (not regional) and the expressions were of high English, not street language.
I think you are forgetting about Veijo here. I am not an English connaisseur so i should not really speak about this, but I find the English language in Veijo messages extremely pleasant to read, very well commanded and very "pure" (if I should use this word"). _________________ Orio, Administrator

I can write better but then I have to slow down, I hate it that my writting is slower then my thinking!
