Hello.

My first testes with my Super Takumar 55mm 1.8.

ISO800 and low speed shutter.
I liked them anyway. Nice sharpening at 1.8

Thanks Poliu.

I wanna test it at best light conditions. My living room was too dark. 1/20 shutter speed with ISO800 don't help. Confused

Thanks Attila. If you give me your Flektogon 35mm 2.4 I'd get better results Laughing

I have to test this one in real portraits.

I liket it very much. Nice colours and sharpening.
I had a Leica Elmarit -R 35mm 2.8 but I had to sell it because I have some bills to pay Sad

What a cute dog - why not add some more samples to the pet thread? The tak is doing a very decent job and you are showing it to advantage

Cute doggie, being almost a monochrome I think it'll turn out better in B&W.

I tested it at b&w but I didn't like the result Confused

Let's see it at f8 or f11 outdoors in bright sun before we judge. I'm sure it will shine!

Yes, true. In ideal light and aperture every lens shine that is true. Tricky part is not ideal light and wide open.

Yes and no. I think the lens is worth the double, consider how excellent it is to work with. No, because you can get it for 10€ on ebay quite frequently. People don't appreciate the lens. It's sad really.

I'll do some tests outdoor with f/8 and f/11.

I bought it on ebay but here in Europe I only could get it between 50€ and 70€

Mine was 50€ + shipping.

I really like this Takumar and I'm thinking in 50mm 1.4 too.

I recommend to get the 135/3.5 next.

The 50mm macro is f4.

And you are preaching to the choir. I love this lens too. If I could only keep one lens and never get another it would be the 55/1.8.

I thought in 50mm 1.4 for portraits because I use it in my 400D.

I don't need the 50mm f/4 Macro Smile

135mm is too much for me right now.
Maybe if someday I buy a FF body.

I'll do a glamour session next maybe. I'll use this Takumar and I'll show you de results Very Happy

The 135 is excellent for face portraits. Check my flickr most pictures there are either 55 or 135 Smile.

They are very cheap aswell.

This one I considered to buy even though I have one already in EX+ condition:
