This is one of the lenses for the Pentaka 8mm movie film cameras.
I made an adapter to use it in retro mount.
The Biotar is a well made lens with a high quality and this makes it usable as a micro lens as well.
I used the 12.5mm Biotar and the 40mm f/2.8 Sonnar of the camera system also for micro sticking photography.
The sample were made in a ration of 5:1
It shows a tree lichen.

Cool!
Do you have a picture with the whole setup?

That's a lens I bought years ago for eaxtly the same reason - but then never built the necessary reverse ring since I got two dedicated macro lenses from Topcon (3.5/30mm bellows) and Canon (20mm for bellows).

Did you use the Biotar in reverse or in nomal position?

A picture of the whole setup will follow, here are a picture of the three lenses.
The revers adapter is mounted to the Sonnar 2.8/40mm on the right.
