My son has collected some of these Konishiroku Hexanon - F mount lenses.
He has lent them to me to try.
Here are some images with the Konishiroku Hexanon - F mount - 100mm f2.8
Seems to be a good lens

I think he made it or had it made from an extension tube and something M39-ish
M39 to FX is readily available

Here's an official adapter.

I have an extension tube set, it's not the most secure mount, it uses the aperture tab to keep the lens mounted, AR is 1000x better. _________________ A Manual Focus Junky...

Thanks Thomas, it is like mine, although mine say Konica FP.
I was hoping for a more robust mount lock, the camera mount seems much more secure than the EX tube setup. _________________ A Manual Focus Junky...

Yes, it seems to be a friction mount in the tab, but it does work.
The 100mm lens seems to be quite short for such a focal length.
As for is it the same optically as the later AR, I really don't know.
As I said, these are my son's lenses and I had them on loan.
He has the 1.8/52 as well which I liked very much

I cobbled together an adapter for the preset versions using an m42 tube,an m39 to m42 ring a homemade copper tube sleeve, dremel and super glue. It was just a friction thing but that made me nervous so I added a steel ring with a set screw. Pictures to follow. _________________ photos are moments frozen in time |

Yes they are. It's a 5 element/4groups construction.
In F-mount there was an auto-aperture and a preset version. _________________

I have the preset version of 100mm, I have 135mm and 35mm in auto aperture. I just tried my adapter on the 35mm and by sheer luck the adapter kisses the auto aperture lever such that stays open or closed. Better to be lucky than good. I could not have planned such a thing! _________________ photos are moments frozen in time |

The shortest m42 extension tube is just before infinity so a tiny bit of close focus is lost. Of course it is easily regained using a longer extension tube. If the weather cooperates I plan to test it at closer range, being an aficianado of the macro realm. _________________ photos are moments frozen in time |
