Hello, all
A question for the specialists of the group:
What is actually the characteristic of the Petzval lens, old or new?
Sharp only in the center, little contrast overall, swirl bokeh?
I try to create these properties with a projection triplet lens, where I vary the distance between the first and second lens. For variable swirl I use an aperture between the third lens and the camera adapter.
Am I on the right path there? I will post photos when my work is complete.
