It's a bit annoying, because the lens is in perfectly good condition otherwise.

Bending screws back and forth usually doesn't end well, especially if the screw is aluminium or brass which work-harden; it deforms the thread. If the amount of bending is very marginal, you might take the risk (but it is still a risk, especially with precision-machined threads).
