Super niche product, I have no use for one, but I'm sure there are a few that may find a use for it in 3D modelling or computer vision.

Useful resolution is very small though, a lot gets lost due to light field processing.

Correct me if wrong, but it seems just a lens that does focus stacking automatically? And not very successfully since obvious resolution downgrade.

No, lightfield technologie has nothing to do with focus stacking.

Interesting idea, not sure how practical it would be.

Also, as some of the 9 images on the sensor are mirrored(~ish), I would assume that IBIS would mess this up immensely, definitely tripod work this.
