Hallo,

I still have a 5d MKII, even if I plan to switch to FF mirrorless, or to add one to my service alongside the5d, in order to use short flange distance lenses.

Despite reading quite a bit I couldn't find any info on the feasibility of using the classical old Cyclop 85/1.5 in M42 on a reflex while keeping at least

a 5 or 6 meters of maximum focusing distance, ideally more.

Has somebody real informations on this issue?

There is 2 version of the Cyclop 85mm/1.5. Which one are you talking about?
Bright blue coated or Helios-40 copy model?

I have seen both a Cyclop 1B and the one with the usual collar for a tripod.

The 1B has a focusing grip made of rubber with thick squarish "scales"

The one I'm getting has a black lens with the usual engraving 1.5/85 on the front ring. A black lens, bell shaped like the one with the tripod collar (better, a truncated cone in section), featuring a rubber grip divided in three rows with squarish scales. Device marked Cyclop 1B
