Elderly jet fighter on display at 17 Wing.
Blurred object at upper center right is a small commercial jet taking off from the nearby airport.
1/500 sec at f8, ISO 125.

Some back-lit flowers.
This lens handles color a bit differently than the 28mm f2.8 Vivitar discussed on this forum page.

1/800 sec at f8, ISO 125

Another old jet fighter.
It actually takes quite a bit to get this lens to flare.
Reasonable performance.

Red wants to go slightly pastel hued here. The petal surface on this flower is actually a bit on the "hairy" side.

Brilliant sun, harsh lighting today. I would have liked to shoot wide open for the sake of comparison,
but the camera will only slow to ISO 100. At least I wasn't forced to f16...
It seems to work quite well with the focus confirmation dot.
The focus ring turns smoothly with slight effort, which may help with the focus confirmation system.
