An uncommon lens with little information on it available.
Mine has a faulty aperture at the present time and it will only shoot at its widest setting.
Nevertheless here are some images of the lens, followed by some images taken with it on Fuji XE-2s

Nice photos!
Is this a recently acquired lens?

I don't think I've seen this lens. The samples looks good!

The Steinheil Tele Quinar 3.8/135mm has a quite unique lens section for a 135mm lens (most 135mm lenses being Ernostar or Sonnar derivatives):

Even more interesting, the same basic configuration was chosen by Nikon as a master lens for the famous Nikkor Ai 4.5/80-20mm (II):

Apparently that was highly successful since most other manufacturers soon did replace their rather complicated 80-200mm or 70-210mm master lenses by a similar [4/4] or [4/3] construction. Examples are the Nikkor mentioned, various Canon nFD tele zooms, the Minolta MD/AF 4/70-210mm, the Leica R 4/80-200mm, and various tele zooms from Tamron and Tokina.

Great results, I always liked STEINHEIL optics and I have many - not this one, though!

Yes, I have only just found it and have yet to find time to try to restore the aperture mechanism to functional.
At the present time it can only shoot wide open.
When I get some more time I will post some further images.
Cheers
Tom

Well, turns out my lens arrived with non-working aperture,
stuck wide open and cannot be set even in manual mode!
Wonder if this is the Achilles-heel of that lens?!

Shall I have it repaired or send it back, not sure yet...

Great balanced shots, Tom. Especially impressive rendering of skin and leaf surfaces, very smooth. Seems to be an ideal lens for portraits.
