I have purchased this lens and will arrive en 10 days aprox.
Jason Schneider on Camera Collecting article said that it's the better standart lens for the F series
My copy has nº 2498xx with numers from 0 to 6 in the aperture ring, not 1,8, 2, 2,8 etc (so made for the FT model)
Any comment or opinion of the lens?
Thanks in advance |

My only experience with it is on the NEX 5n. When mounted on that camera they look literally made for each other. Works fantastically well optically and gives a longish normal 60mm equiv. It is just a joy to use, smooth and of course olympus level quality. I traded the 5N away but kept all of my PEN F lenses, thinking when money comes in the mail I will get an A6500. _________________ photos are moments frozen in time |

Thank you Jamaelus, very much-
I have bought my second 7RII (the first never was send to me). I only use a 3500 till the newer 7RII arrive. The 6500 cost the same like the 7RII. The 6300/6500 can be better for trips I guess

It is an outstanding lens.
Mine is often on my Fuji XE2s and it has never disappointed.
It covers APSc easily, but is a half frame lens of course so won't cover full frame

That's ridiculously good indeed. Now I need one too for my X-T20.
Any post-processing for those pictures? The tonality is just amazing. |

Yes, if shot as .jpeg in camera, the camera does the processing of course.
I shoot in RAW and import through LR6
There is usually curves adjustment needed. The mono has a light vignette added as well

Yes, it is meant to be a little mysterious
On the sailing ship whose rigging appears in the first picture, there was a grated hatch to allow ventilation to the lower deck.
I asked my grand daughter to go below and pretend to be a captive, and she kindly obliged.
