Little test between the two:


First observations: in these conditions, the bokeh is surprisingly similar. @f/2.8 the Tak shows superior sharpness.
From f/4 and smaller, the Yash-R looks sharper, but this is probably due to a slight difference in focus (see red markings). The Takumar's focus is slightly further.

Then a little bokeh test involving a reflective surface (BBQ). Both lenses @f4. The bokeh 'balls' of the Takumar are bigger, because I focused as close as possible, and the Tak can focus a little closer.


Not such nice bokeh balls @F/4 from the Takumar. The 16 bladed Yashinon shows nice round bokeh balls.
