Stumbled on this curious adapter in ebay listings. The box says Contax-S and Praktica to Beaulieu R8. Does that mean M42-D mount? But it does not look like a thread mount on the narrow side.

And then, does this adapter have a focusing helicoid, or it has another principle? It looks complex.

Sorry, to me it looks more like the praktica microscope adapter, but I'm no expert.
