Got me a G-48 f2/100mm cine lens from "Russia with Love" as its serial end in 007,
already converted into M42 mount; lens is from 1961 and has quite a few wipe marks

Here a few quick-n-dirty test shots...all at f2

Shows some CA but is surprisingly sharp with good contrast...

Your test shots certainly make it look good. That's some nice, puffy bokeh.

Nice sharp pictures, just for the ease of google search, the lens is: Ж-48 "zh" or "ż"

"Marks and scratches" - they're over rated, that's a great picture. Like 1 small

Thank you Lloydy! It’s my ugliest lens, surprisingly, it still takes good pictures. It’s a lens without mount, focusing part. Now just inserted on a helicoid.

Thank you!!

More effect on wider lenses...or only in some orientations against the light.

Great photos great lens.

Thanks!! Great info.
Looks like the impact from those are not as serious as we thought. KEH rates lens “Bargain” condition as “glass may have marks or blemishes, but should not affect picture quality.”
