I have a nice Apo Telezenitar 2.8/135mm with like new glasses, but the diaphragm mechanism is fuc*ed up.
My friend/repairman couldn't find the way to fix it. He's much better fixing vintage cameras than soviet lenses...
so I need to find a knowledgeable repairman.
Any suggestion?

Ciao
Paolo

I split the topic off, as otherwise you would have not gotten good response
and as we have a special section for that here.

I only know repair men in Germany, not where you are located.

But we also have a list of repair companies here have you looked at them?

I don't mind shipping.
In covid time it might even be preferable Wink
What I need is a repairman specialised in soviet lenses.
Some spare parts are hard to come by, though if you routinely deal with a certain kind of lenses you won't get stuck if you miss a tiny set screw. For example, my friend/repairman has plenty of screws, he got most of them from Alpa Pinions when they shut down the factory. Though among them you won't find a single one that fits early japanese lenses. I am stuck with a nice Kyoei Super Acall in LTM mount that needs a couple of set screws to be brought back to life, but I can't find them. An experienced repairman who routinely deals with this kind of lenses could probably source them from some lens beyond repair.
I hope the example has been clear enough.
My Apo Telezenitar has good diaphragm leaves, opening the lens I can operate the diaphragm correctly with he tip of my finger, but the leverage is problematic, probably because of a previous botched repair.
I hope that a good repairman with some knowledge of this lens could find a way to restore this nice objective to its former glory

Thanks for the interest
Paolo
