Hallo all,
found no intro thread so posting here directly.
I got recently two DKL Deckel to EOS adapters from ebay, the usual cheap chinese type.
I have a voigtlander Super Dynarex 135mm f4 and a retina-curtagon 35 in Deckel mount.
For both lenses both adapters feature an impossibility to focus at a non macro short distance: the curtagon minimum focusing distance is at more than one meter, the voigtlaender's minimum focusing distance is at even more than two meters. In a small room I simply cannot use this lens.
I wonder if I need some sort of macro ring, so far I have found no short canon EOS ring that be short enough: with my shorter macro ring for EOS I only get macro focus(it's already too strong).
Any solution?

That is the way they are, a limitation of the formula and design of the deckel format. To achieve close focus, the best solution is a helicoid adaptor. I went with a helicoid for Sony emount to m42. Then got an m42 dkl adaptor, that way I can use the helicoid with other non dkl lenses as well. Then you have an amazing fully macro-ready infinity-focusing lens. any way you do it, you'll lose some lens speed in the bargain. Good luck.
