Russian 85mm lens "Юпитер-9". Heavy and compact, 15 blades aperture, nice bokeh.

That is a nice render linebrell Like 1 . It kind of reminds me of a biotar.

Excellent portraits. Do you remember the aperture? Mine is not very sharp at 2,0 or 2,8. Your portraits are razor sharp.

F2-F2.8, haven't used smaller apertures with it for portraits. I've read on russian forums that there are can be sample variations. I also can see that some Jupiters-9 have strong visible outline in "bokeh balls", mine doesn't produce it.
I also use it with Lens Turbo II adapter, so it probably looks sharper, "compressed" from fullframe coverage to crop-sensor.

Different versions.

Like helios lens i have, there were strong quality spread:
one 44m-6 was blurry, second is better. I had pretty sharp in center helios 44-3 and then standart 44-2 that was worse. Now i have helios 77m-4, looks good.

Nice! It seems you have a good copy. My copy, a 1958 KMZ rangefinder-version, is also excellent and already reasonably sharp wide open. But judging from other experiences on forums, it seems this is the lens with the largest variation.

I can see some on your images though, especially on #1 and 5. Mine does this too under certain circumstances (such as backlit foliage)
