Heinz Kilfitt München Pan-Tele-Kilar 300mm f4

Not the easiest telephoto lens to use, but why not! I had a calm subject.

Shot at or near f4 with shutter 1/125. Results are slightly better than my copy of the Takumar 300mm F4 Preset.

Sony Imaging Edge for Raw Edit, So No CA reduction applied. Only sharpening applied, with a very tiny bump in contrast.

Correction it isn't a Preset, but the aperture is up front. I think it is V2. The Takumar 300mm f4 definitely has more spherochromatism at farther distances.

With higher contrast scenes, like tree branches against a sky, anything in front of focus is red and green behind. It doesn't really go away stopped down.

However, it is a different story up close. With a couple extension tubes the Takumar actually performs pretty good.
