This is a very recognisable mushroom, with its hairnet and fluid exudate drops.
Shot in October 2013 with my Kiron 105mm macro 1:1 on my E-P2, lit by manual, diffused flash (OM T32).
I found it on a fallen tree. The first two images are at the pretty, immature stage. The third is 3 days later.

May be there is a typo? Rhodotus palmatus instead of Rhodotus plamatus? |

Thanks. I had written Rhodutus too!
Rhodotus palmatus is the correct form. _________________ Dedicated to using manual focus lenses with digital. Equiped for photography from macro to panoramic & from ultra-wide to extreme telephoto. Mostly shooting outdoor macro. Experienced entomological taxonomist. Some knowledge of mushrooms. |

Your lens looks very capable and you have obviously enjoyed shooting with it.

Thanks.
Yes but I now use an Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro (AF but often used MF), usually with matched x2 converter. For above 1:1 I use various other lenses, some featured here. _________________ Dedicated to using manual focus lenses with digital. Excellent post! I love this forum, not only for the splendid display of great lenses, but also for the accessory knowledge gained in so many threads, like this one. I owned one of those Kirons: beautiful lens indeed! And it's an educational treat to learn a little about these mushrooms--Thank you! jt _________________ Sabbapāpassa akaraṇaṃ kusalassa upasampadā

Thanks. My main host site for macro images is this:
https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/board/45
Although the lens used is generally specified, always by me, it is more about the image and the subject. _________________ Dedicated to using manual focus lenses with digital.
