I'm putting together a small set of Miranda lenses. So I will be buying them over the next 6 months or so. I'm only buying certain lenses and they must be at a good price point or even lower. Smile Anyone on the forum have this lens?

I collect Miranda lenses. I don't have this one but the 2.8/28 I have is excellent.

There are two versions of the 2.8/35, one is normal sized, which is the one you just bought, the other is much larger.

Here's the 2.8/28 I have, at a cheap price with case, the cases are excellent, the best quality ones I've come across:

Thanks, Ian. The 2.8/28 is the next one on my list I'm looking for. I'm actually watching that one it's also on Us 'Bay.

1st test pic. The light wasn't very good, because it was shot in the late evening.

So minor Pp, and handheld, shot at f5.6 on Panny G1.

Beautiful colors in this, what's the minimum focus distance?

Thanks. Smile I will try to shoot some more tomorrow.

I'm still looking for one, but I do have a Miranda tele converter on the way. Smile

Thanks. Smile I like the colors too. The minimum focus distance is 12 inches.

I tested it on my Panny G1 with a m42 to m4/3 adapter with the lens handheld up against the adapter.
So it was actually shot at close to infinity.

It is very overcast today, so this does have minor PP with sharpening.
Shot at f8.Not an easy color Begonia to get a good shot of.

Willy35, sorry I missed your post. That is the same version of the lens that I have. So far I've only shot this lens on M4/3, and very little at that.
I'm finally getting around to retesting this lens with a proper adapter.

Auto Miranda 35mm f2.8 shot at f8 on
Panasonic G5 at infinity.
Test pic. To get the whole church in I would
Have to stand in a busy street.
Edit. I will retake this pic in a couple days. It doesn't look like the adapter is reaching infinity.

I rechecked it, my adapter is hitting just shy of infinity. Checked it with 5 different lenses and different focal lengths.
so I need to buy or make a new adapter. Crying or Very sad

I have an Auto Miranda E 35mm f2.8 - but it is not that kind of lens.
It is longer and I expect may be a different optical arrangement.
Are there any lens schematics for Miranda lenses that might show this.
Thanks
Tom

I was inspired by the renewed interest, as in this post, in the Miranda line.
I just received a Sony Nex-Miranda bayonet adapter, and I plan on getting some shots on my Nex 7.

A bit of a goodbye for this system as I will be posting the lot for sale, in a month or so.

Please let me know what brand adapter you ordered, and if there are any issues with it. I need to order one for my Nex 6.
Sorry to see you selling your system. Hope you post some images from your lenses shot with the Nex 7.

I bought the adapter on ebay. It is from rareadapters.com, but that is a dealer not a maker.

Its not otherwise marked as to maker, but it seems to be solidly made in aluminum, of good overall quality.

I get accurate infinity on my Soligor-Miranda 25mm, which is where such problems would most likely show up. I took it out shooting today with no complaints.

Quite possibly one of the sharpest 35mm lenses that I have used.
