The title could be also:

"How can you spare thousand of bucks and have about 50MP quality images."

Last weekend I used my Pentacon Six camera as it were a huge reflex, with the Flekton on I can use pretty slow times handheld while the Provia slide film can be scanned with the Epson v700 and, with just a bit of boring post production, can reach very very high quality result I wouldn't have thought it were possible.

The full picture (resized, original is about 50 MP):

A 100% crop:

I'd be curios to put this image side to side with one produced by the new Hassie with the digital back.

Thanks Orio Very Happy

To your tranquillity the post processing I did was just some unsharp mask and levels, all things needed to take out what already is on film, in fact I boggled when I could read the writings on the plastig bag Shocked

I can't praise the Epson v700 enough (hint Attila Wink hint)

There's written "frutta" which means fruits, it's a vegetable-fruit shop bag.

Yep, and the Flek was almost wide open (4 or 5.6 because it was shady there) and I was hand helding the camera.
As I told you it's shocking the level of detail with so hard conditions, this shot can be used to print wallsize posters.

Well, the Flek 50 has not earned his reputation for nothing... Smile

It's soft indeed, this was shot at f4 for sure (and maybe I could also miss the focus a bit Wink I remember I was damn sweating and the guy there was moving).

Another shot from that session. This was shot completely open and with 1/60 (handheld) because it was very dark over there, so it's a tad soft. But I couldn't miss the subject.

You're getting some great results with that setup, the cam, lens, film, and
the V700! Let's see more!
