My old M42 pre-set Meyer Primoplan 58/1.9 can certainly do with a relube of the focussing drive mechanism, but I have some problems taking it apart. Here's how far I have managed.
1. Remove three screws from the back to take off the camera mount ring.
2. Remove the two black-finish screws that work as pins for the straight slots, for effecting rectilinear travel
3. Unscrew lens unit from focussing drive unit, and then...
... the lens unit rotates a few turns and then it cannot go any further to come out of the focussing drive unit. I cannot see anything obvious that stops it from doing so.
I would greatly appreciate any insight into this; thank you in advance. |
