I like it, but is a bit too soft for my taste honestly and glows quite a bit around edges.
The lens is very clear, checked it, so it is not some haze inside. Seems intrinsic to
this triplett. Not that easy to focus...

I was just going to say that I find it surprisingly sharp. But yes, it does glow at very bright spots. I very much enjoy mine.

I really like the glow it gives, I think it gives a romantic feel to the images. Plenty of other lenses to give pin sharp images Smile

Thanks guys, I was wondering if I should get rid of it. Indeed, there is plenty of very sharp lenses, but sharpness is overrated indeed. So I guess I will keep it as an "artsy" lens!!

Here a few "portraits" shots with it of my friend Carlos...

Klaus: I hope you don't mind me sharing a few images. I use the Diaplan frequently. I first purchased it for its Trioplan-like soap bubbles but like it for much more than that. I have learned to appreciate a lens that is sharp enough when it has more to offer. I find that to be true with several Meyer lenses. The 80mm Diaplan is also popular but I decided to go for the 100mm, hoping to come closer to Trioplan rendering.
