Lens with double aperture? 2X12 blades?

This is the first time I see this kind of aperture.
It looks as if two apertures of 12 blades each are stacked upon each other.
With one aperture being slightly bigger then the other (this is only visible from the back of this lens).

I have never seen such an aperture before, I can’t find any information about it and I have no clue what the reason for this could be.

The lens is a (rare) Kaligar 80mm f/2.8 preset lens.

Now THAT is really a DOUBLE APERTURE lens, it is well known!!
