Haven't heard from that before, but company PAKO was (still is, as PAKOR Inc) an American company from Minnesota, which had invented the photo printer machine and was working for and with Disney etc. https://www.pakor.com/ourhistory

First time I ever saw such a printing lens and bought it out of curiosity a while ago. It has a built in aperture with a set screw to fix that position and a barrel with outside M40 thread (the same which a COPAL 1 shutter uses). It is a asymmetrical 4e/4g lens design and has nicely coated lens elements. I was lucky and found a clamping ring which allowed me to use it on a focusing helicoid and also found a clamp-on sun shade for it.

So here some results, all shot at f5 fully open on Panasonic GH4. Full set is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kds315/albums/72157669255079557

Part I: The blue series...

Has some pleasant bokeh, shows very impressive sharpness and is one of the very few lenses
I have which reproduces rich colors, right as I have seen and memorized them!

Nice!

Often these "curiosity experiments" yield nice psychedlic close-ups, but this one also does really nice on distant subjects!

Thank you guys!

I have also never heard of this printer lens before, but I followed my curiosity
and here came the surprise! Came home with so many good shots and hardly
any to dump, amazing! Great lens from infinity to close up and even macro!

It even resolves the finest of details easily...

and has an amazing 3D pop...

Very sharp lens. Nice finding! Do you use any extension tube for your macro work?

Thank you, No, I use a M42 adjustable Helicoid for that (have many of them).

Thanks. That looks very close focus distance to me. I checked on ebay for a copy of this lens but nothing showed up.

Not really at 71mm focal length, but I always adapt my lenses in a way to allow for close-ups.
Of course, I bought 'em all (there was only this one I have ever seen...) Wink
